Summer’s heating up, and so is your chance for adventure. Whether you're questing through convention halls, lounging in your local tavern, or plotting your next dungeon crawl indoors with the AC blasting, we’ve got the ultimate quest to level up your summer.
Introducing The Ultimate D20 Summer Challenge–a Rollacrit-approved way to keep your adventuring spirit alive all season. All you need is a D20, a sense of whimsy, and maybe a couple of snacks (okay, definitely snacks).
How It Works:
- Grab a D20 (or a dice app–we don’t judge).
- Roll once a week, and match your roll to the challenge list below.
- Complete your challenge and earn bragging rights or maybe even a +2 boost to your charisma (we make no promises).
- Keep rolling weekly and try to complete as many as you can before summer ends.
The D20 Summer Challenge List:
- Crit fail! Time to organize your dice collection—or tackle that cluttered corner you’ve been avoiding.
- Grab a fantasy novel and get lost in the story, whether you’re soaking up the sun or cozy under a blanket.
- Create a new NPC for your next game session—give them a memorable name and backstory.
- Watch a fantasy movie you’ve never seen before.
- Write a short summer-themed tabletop RPG campaign—need ideas? Check out one of our recent blogs here!
- Send a quick thank-you message to a fellow gamer or DM.
- Play a board game you’ve never tried before!
- Wear your favorite nerdy tee all day. Extra points if it’s a Rollacrit shirt!
- Teach someone how to play your favorite game.
- Visit your local game shop and support them with a purchase.
- Make a fantasy-themed mocktail or cocktail and share a pic of your creation in the #liquor-nomicon channel on the Rollacrit Discord!
- Pick a game and play it outside, whether it’s at the park, on a patio, or anywhere with fresh air.
- Send a nerdy care package to a party member who lives far away.
- Record a quick “in-character” message or greeting to send to your gaming group.
- Try painting or customizing a miniature with a summer theme.
- Create the perfect playlist for your next game night!
- Share your favorite meme in the #fun-and-games channel on the Rollacrit Discord!
- Play a tabletop game with custom house rules.
- Set a personal goal to accomplish before the summer ends.
- Nat 20! Host a full-fledged game night with themed snacks, costumes, and chaos. You are the GM of the summer!
